Why do people seek therapy?
People begin therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes people need help when an unexpected change happens in their lives. Others begin therapy to find growth or to explore relationships, conflict resolution, career, parenting, or future vision. Therapy can also help reduce anxiety, depression, or other difficulties that emerge when we become overwhelmed and our current ways of coping aren't helping anymore.
What can I expect during my therapy session?
During each session, you will meet with your therapist for 45-50 minutes and discuss areas of your life that you wish to change or to explore. You and your therapist develop a trusting relationship, which makes it safe to explore possible areas for change, development, growth, and coping. |
